Hey! I am Jason! I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor's degree in Physics Honor. In college, I am heavily involved in research, primarily computationally, in particle physics and a bit of quantum gravity. As a side hobby, I enjoy using what I have (experience) and know (knowledge) to help others succeed! I have tutored at a community college for one year before in Calculus and Inorganic Chemistry, and have been tutoring at UC Berkeley in Physics for 1.5 years now, with a CRLA’s International Tutor Training Program Level 1 Certification.
When I tutor, I like to start by knowing what the student know and target where one needs help most. Instead of blindly tutoring, my goal is to make my tutoring sessions as personalized as possible, so that the student will get the most out of them. One thing to know about my approach is that I value interactions. In order to be able to help students most efficiently and effectively, let's be on the same page and work together! I think of it as an collaborative effort, which is very important for the student to learn and get to used whether they aim to enter academia or industry!
Tutoring is fun! I get to not only help the student succeed, but also learn about them when they are willing! I hope to see you soon, and feel free to contact me with additional questions or to schedule a session!
