I am a passionate and experienced language educator with a Master’s degree in Linguistics. My academic training at one of the world’s leading institutions gave me a strong theoretical foundation as well as practical insight into how language works in real-world contexts. Through my studies, I developed a deep understanding of how people acquire, process, and use language, which strongly informs my teaching approach. I believe that effective teaching begins with understanding learners’ linguistic needs and adapting instruction accordingly.
During my graduate studies, I worked extensively as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported undergraduate courses in linguistics. In this role, I led discussion sections, explained complex concepts in accessible ways, graded assignments, and provided one-on-one academic support to students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. I gained hands-on experience in areas such as phonetics and phonology, syntax, semantics, morphology, sociolinguistics, and language acquisition. Explaining abstract linguistic theories to students strengthened my ability to break down difficult material into clear, engaging lessons.
In addition to my academic background, I have over eight years of tutoring experience, both online and in person. I have worked with learners of different ages and proficiency levels, tailoring lessons to meet individual goals—whether that involves improving academic performance, mastering linguistic concepts, developing strong reading and writing skills, or building confidence in language use. I regularly use structured lesson plans, real-life examples, interactive activities, and feedback-driven instruction to ensure steady progress. My experience across virtual platforms has also made me highly comfortable using digital tools to create engaging and effective online learning environments.
