About me
I'm a computer science graduate from MIT with a 5.0 GPA and a solid background in math competitions and AP courses (4x AIME qualifier, USACO Gold). Through my own journey learning difficult STEM subjects, I discovered that deep understanding combined with curiosity and play can make all the difference. Learning math and other STEM subjects can be filled with exploration, creativity, and joy. That's what I want to share with you.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe math anxiety often comes from being rushed through concepts without truly understanding them. In our sessions, we'll slow down, tinker with concepts, and build genuine understanding from the ground up. I don't just want you to pass your next test—I want you to develop confidence and curiosity that carries forward.

I focus on:
* Breaking down concepts into manageable, digestible pieces
* Creating a judgment-free space where questions are encouraged and mistakes are learning opportunities
* Building intrinsic motivation through curiosity and exploration-driven learning

My Experience
During my time at MIT, I served as a tutor and TA for multiple courses, including probability, statistics, and econometrics (statistics for economics). I helped a student who professors gave only a 1-in-5 chance of passing actually pass their class. In high school, I was a coach for the Mathcounts team of my middle school and helped friends with their AP Computer Science homework.

I tutor a range of STEM subjects including:
* Algebra (basic through advanced)
* Calculus (single and multivariable)
* Linear Algebra
* Probability and Statistics
* Pre-calculus and Trigonometry
* SAT/ACT Math prep
* AP Computer Science
* Machine Learning
* AP Physics C
* and more

Let's work together to build a playground where you can tinker with challenging concepts, develop deep understanding, and discover the joy in learning.

Approved Subjects

AMC (Competition math)

AMC (Competition math)

I helped coach my Mathcounts middle school team when I was in high school. Qualified for the AIME 4 times (top 2.5% of AMC 10 test takers and 5% of AMC 12 test takers).
Statistics

Statistics

Took AP Stats in high school, got an A and scored a 5 on the AP test. Also took econometrics in college which is basically statistics for economics. I tutored a student whom the whom the professor gave a 1 in 5 chance in passing the class, and they passed
Volleyball

Volleyball

I played varsity volleyball starting as a freshman in high school and have five years of club experience. I continued playing on the club level during college and still play in nearby open gyms. During my playing career, I developed versatility by playing in multiple positions, including outside hitter, opposite, and setter. Beyond my playing experience, I have coached youth volleyball at Phoenix Volleyball School, working with middle school athletes to develop their fundamental skills and love of the game.
