During my high school studies, I tutored my homestay classmate, who was also my peer, in mathematics. I helped her understand concepts by breaking down problems into smaller, intuitive steps, and her grades improved significantly. This early experience sparked my passion for teaching. Later, I volunteered in the University of Toronto’s outreach and mentorship programs, where I supported new students transitioning into university life and assisted with the Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge grading process. These opportunities strengthened my ability to explain abstract concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to different learners.
Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions. I believe that every student can excel in math and statistics once they build confidence and understand the logic behind the formulas. My goal is to make learning not only effective but also enjoyable — helping students discover the satisfaction of solving problems independently.
