Throughout high school, I was deeply involved in tutoring students in mathematics, particularly in Calculus and SAT Math. I worked with organizations like Scholar Circle and Math Team, where I tutored high school peers both in group settings and one-on-one sessions. My experience extends beyond math tutoring—I also developed and taught an "Introduction to Computer Science" course for elementary and middle school students at afterschool programs and educational institutions. These experiences helped me learn how to adapt my teaching style to different age groups and learning environments.
I graduated from Larchmont Charter School and am currently a rising sophomore at UC Berkeley, studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I scored a 1560 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 on the math section. In high school, I earned a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam, the AP Calculus BC exam, and the AB subscore within the BC exam. I took AP Calculus AB as a sophomore and went on to take College Linear Algebra at a local community college during my senior year. In addition to taking advanced math courses early, I served as a TA for AP Calculus AB while concurrently enrolled in BC, supporting students through exam preparation and problem-solving sessions.
Whether working with a classroom or tutoring one to three students individually, I focus on building intuition through conceptual understanding and problem-based learning. My goal is to make math feel logical and approachable, helping students gain confidence as well as mastery.
