I graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Environmental Studies. In school, I organized a tutoring and mentorship program. Since then, I've worked as a research assistant for a published paper about climate change and education, as a farm educator, as a nonprofit worker, and as an art teacher. I'm a fiction writer and poet and have had work published in several literary magazines. I also teach fiction workshops for adults and art classes for middle and high schoolers. I bring my commitment to creativity, humor, and flexibility to my tutoring approach, working with students to find the best techniques to success. I find that building confidence and competence go hand in hand.
I spent the last year coaching high schoolers on career and college success through a nonprofit—in this work, I realized how important it is to be adaptable, flexible, and curious. I strongly believe in creative ways of learning, in dynamic, patient, responsive tutoring, and in asking all the questions you want! We will be in this process together: honing and working towards your best learning style. I am always open to suggestions or requests from students and parents, and believe in tailoring my tutoring style to the student's needs. Please reach out with any questions you might have—I am quick to respond and excited to connect.
