Hi! My name is Juliana, or Juli! I’m currently a First-year student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Dance and Performance Studies and Chemistry on the Pre-Medical track. Hi! My name is Juliana, or Juli! I’m currently a First-year student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Dance and Performance Studies and Chemistry on the Pre-Medical track. In High School I earned many educational awards including the: International Baccalaureate Certificate, Seal of Biliteracy for Mandarin, State Award for Academic Decathlon and was recently a Finalist for The UC Berkeley Leadership Award.
In terms of teaching, I previously taught at a well-known learning center. There, I taught and helped improve students’ Math and English skills, graded English and Math work, and unofficially organized team bonding activities. Through the learning center, I’ve been able to work with 10-12 students on average on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis within a 4 hour shift. All students were in Elementary school and all reported to improve as students significantly while under my tutoring. Aside from the learning center, I also have experience teaching students how to dance as a teacher’s assistant at my studio. I was also a mentor all throughout High School through various programs and helped many student’s improve academically as well. I adapt really well with students as I’ve had a lot of experience with it, and as I previously hoped to be a teacher, I’m hoping tutoring will help me learn more about the possibility of being one!
