Hi, I'm Alli! I graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, with a concentration in Genetics, Genomics, Evolution, and Development. As for some information about me, I have extensive teaching and writing experience. In high school, I was the Editor-in-chief of my school's Literary Magazine and was responsible for selecting poems, essays, and short stories to then edit for grammar and streamline for readability. At UC Berkeley, I honed my teaching ability through by leading a class entitled Access to Medicines to expose students to current topics in health equity. For close to three years, I was responsible for teaching over 150 students and grading their weekly papers that addressed the prompts I assigned. At the end of each semester, I'd ask the students to submit feedback. This feedback was invaluable in shaping the class to fit the student's needs, and is something I value when tutoring! I will always work to meet you where you are and develop tangible ways to meet your goals.
Combining science and english is one of my passions. To this end, I served as Interviews Editor for the Berkeley Scientific Journal, in which I was responsible for teaching teams of students to reach out to professors, conduct thorough background research, craft insightful interview questions, and execute interviews. This led to the successful production of over 10 publications and shared fresh perspectives within the academic community.
