Hi, I'm Sanchay! I'm a sophomore at UC Berkeley majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. Before Cal, I studied and tutored for AS and A Levels as well as IGCSE (got scores of A*). The subjects I took here were Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Pure Math, Business, etc. I am also acquainted with APs since I took 7 of them (got scores of 5) and have an AP Scholars with Distinction award. The APs I can help out with are AP Calculus (AB + BC), AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Physics C...

The subjects I took here were Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Pure Math, Business, etc. I am also acquainted with APs since I took 7 of them (got scores of 5) and have an AP Scholars with Distinction award. The APs I can help out with are AP Calculus (AB + BC), AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Physics C (Mechanics + Electricity and Magnetism), and AP Chemistry.
As for teaching experience, I have taught and tutored a variety of students of different interests, ages, and curriculums in a plethora of settings. For all of my high school (4 years) I helped and taught my peers Math and Science. Beyond that, I have taught for over 3 years through my own non-profit organization, which was a specialized mentoring program for students in areas of Math, Science, and English. I have also volunteered at various organizations to help students facing academic difficulties. All of which provide me with approximately 6+ years of teaching and tutoring experience (through overlaps). These different experiences helped me understand the various learning styles and their complementary teaching methods that can be implemented for better learning.
I believe in creating a strong foundation in Math and Science. These are instrumental in understanding concepts in higher education and help students make their knowledge more applicable in general. A strong foundation would take time to create, and I am willing to commit to it. But once achieved, it would open up new doorways and paths for students to explore and it would alter the way that students think and work.
I’m ecstatic and super interested in helping students build a strong foundation in these subjects and succeed in their courses. I am very passionate and enthusiastic about these subjects and I hope to create that sense of interest in the students as well.
