Hi! I'm Arnav, a student at UC Berkeley studying Industrial Engineering and Computer Science. During high school, I achieved a score of 36/36 on the ACT, the National Merit Scholarship, and scores of 5 on several AP Exams (Calculus BC, Statistics, Micro + Macroeconomics, Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, etc.). I'm passionate about helping students excel, and have pursued this interest as a tutor for college students, as well as continue to tutor K-12 students in the standardized exams.
As an instructor, my primary approach is to allow students to learn from a technique known as the "Socratic method", in which students learn by asking questions about the task at hand, through which they self-discover concepts, with guidance from the teacher/tutor. I'm a highly adaptable instructor who makes materials suited to each individual student's needs and aspirations. I'm also extremely patient and attentive, as I have experience working with younger students (K-8), as well as older students (college).
