I am a math PhD student at UC Berkeley. I have ten years of tutoring experience, and all of my students have improved their grades after studying with me, and they have enjoyed working with me. I not only teach the math clearly, but also teach my students problem solving skills that can help them become better critical thinkers. I often guide my students through the problem solving process by asking meaningful questions that push them to think critically in the situation. I never simply give the solution to a problem because there is no active learning that way. I love math and teaching, and I enjoy helping my students and watching them making progress.
I tutor mostly online but can also meet in person if it is near Berkeley. More about my technical qualifications: my undergraduate GPA was 4.0, and I have won numerous mathematical awards including national level.
I tutor high school math (algebra, SAT, AP prep), calculus, linear algebra, upper division math (real analysis, abstract algebra...), etc.
I look forward to connecting with you!
