I would like to share a few words about myself. I am a professional classical guitarist, chamber musician and educator. Dear prospective student,
I would like to share a few words about myself. I am a professional classical guitarist, chamber musician and educator. I am a graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I received my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees, as well as a Professional Studies Diploma under the tutelage of famed classical guitarists Sérgio Assad and David Tanenbaum. I am the winner of various classical guitar festivals including the Sierra Nevada, Sinaia, Craiova and Assenovgrad classical guitar competitions and hold awards from the Portland, Louisville, Tennessee and SFCM Concerto Competitions. I have participated in organizing and judging various events including the Walnut Creek and Sierra Nevada Guitar Festivals. I am an active performer both as a soloist and a chamber musician with the Pacific Guitar Ensemble, a group consisting of SFCM guitar faculty and selected alumni. I have appeared in concerts at major guitar festivals and concert series among which are La Guitarra California, Guitar Foundation of America, Omni Foundation Guitar Series, Cranbrook Music Guild and various classical guitar societies. I have a passion for teaching and have given performances and masterclasses at Portland State University, Fullerton State University, Humboldt State University, UC Santa Cruz and others. As an instructor I was the classical guitar faculty at the top rated charter Oakland School for the Arts for five years and maintain a large private studio.
