Hi, my name is Victorya; I'm currently in my final semester of pursuing my undergraduate degree in Economics at UC Berkeley. I'm inspired to tutor & help others because I know we all struggle sometimes in our academic career, and I believe in many cases, it can make all the difference to have the opportunity to learn from a different perspective and angle. Being able to struggle and successfully overcome any difficulty, including learning, only gives us more knowledge and confidence to succeed in the future, no matter how difficult the task may initially seem.
I achieved a 4.2 GPA in high school & I have professional experience tutoring in Python and Statistics as a teacher's assistant while in college. My first experience tutoring was when my Statistics professor had reached out to me after taking his class with an offer to be a paid tutor for his course the following semester. As I accepted this role, I quickly realized that I strongly enjoy assisting others in being more comfortable to excel as well. I assisted many different students, but I am especially proud of working closely and continuously with a student who was considering dropping the course at first, and by the end of the semester I had helped her raised her D grade to a high B. I consider myself very passionate about working with students to help them achieve higher learning capabilities and reach their maximum academic potential. I feel my strongest academic skills are reflected in English & Statistics, but I am versatile & open to contributing assistance in other subjects as well, as I have completed all of my lower division breadth courses.
