As a proud mother of four, an active youth sports coach, and a long-time volunteer in our local school district, I know firsthand that every child learns differently. I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services, both awarded magna cum laude. While I love working with numbers and advanced math, my true passion is breaking those subjects down into fun, simple, and stress-free steps for children. I specialize in helping students overcome "math anxiety" by creating a warm, encouraging environment where mistakes are treated as valuable learning tools, not failures.
My teaching and instructional experience spans nearly a decade of working with kids of all ages and backgrounds. I have served as a Head Classroom Teacher for student rosters from preschool through fifth grade, where I ran daily routines, managed behaviors, and adapted lessons for children who needed a second approach before the material landed. I have also run local after-school programs as a Lead Teacher for general education students, gifted learners, and English language learners. Furthermore, my background as a Lead Behavior Technician means I have specialized training in patience, positive reinforcement, and helping children who might have unique learning styles or specialized behavior plans.
Beyond my professional roles, I am deeply embedded in our local youth community. I currently serve as the School Site Council President at an elementary school, and I coach youth soccer, basketball, and flag football through the city parks department. Working closely with children from ages six through eighteen has taught me how to connect with students on their level, keep them engaged, and make learning rewarding. Whether your child needs help catching up on middle school math, preparing for a high school business exam, or simply building better study habits, I am excited to partner with your family to help them thrive and succeed!
