I’m Belisario. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. During my college years I realized the classes I enjoyed the most weren’t my favorite subjects, but it was the professors who brought charisma and energy to the subjects. I’m Belisario. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. During my college years I realized the classes I enjoyed the most weren’t my favorite subjects, but it was the professors who brought charisma and energy to the subjects. These professors were engaging and passionate about the subjects they were teaching. This not only motivated to learn about the subject, but it helped me develop my philosophy as a tutor. As a tutor I believe in teaching concepts rather than recipes as to how to solve a problem. I use lesson plans developed to introduce the subject, the theory and then the problem solving. This ensures students get the entire overall picture and gives the ability for the students to ask questions on various perspectives of the subject.

I have nearly 7 years of tutoring experience, my tutoring experience is diverse and involves a mix of subjects in the physical science, mathematics and mechanical engineering disciplines. I have tutored math from Pre-Algebra all the way through Calculus BC. At the same time I have extensive experience with tutoring Physics from Middle school through college level. Due to my educational background I am very capable of tutoring Mechanical Engineering courses such as Statics, Deformable bodies, Solid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Advanced Dynamics, Composite Materials, Stress Analysis Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. This was demonstrated in my undergraduate career when I held positions such as supplemental student instructor and teacher assistant from 2013-2016.

I enjoy the one-on-one connection while tutoring, but at the same time I enjoy the energy brought during group tutoring environment. As a tutor I understand students have time constraints, which makes me flexible during weekday and weekends. At the same time as a tutor I am very goal oriented, I bring energy and passion into teaching to help every student achieve their learning goals. In Industry I have worked side by side with Civil Engineers, validating their designs from a structural standpoint. At the same time I have taught the Engineer In Training course for both the Mechanical and Civil Engineering practice. This includes all the relevant fundamental courses in this exam. To fortify my experience I have over 100+ hours of tutoring. The classes I have tutored are Statics, Solid Mechanics, Material Science, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Steel Design, Hydraulics, Concrete Design, Soil Mechanics and Structural Design.

This involved taking various courses such as Solid Modeling I, II and Machine Design which heavily involved the use of the software. After graduation I have been a design engineer for many years. Designing mechanical fixtures, tooling, jigs and running FEA simulations. I look forward in assisting students with this useful software suite.
