I have had a passion for helping students in need ever since my years in high school. This makes this a great opportunity for me. In the past, I have had great success in assisting kids and reinforcing the material taught to them. I hope to continue this trend with this program.

My strong suit definitely has to be anything math. I am proficient in any math subject taught in high school up to multivariable calculus. Even though my most recent subjects learned is calculus, this does not mean I cannot perform anything from geometry to advanced algebra. I am also adept at any of the other STEM related subjects.

My education started here in Bakersfield. While in high school, I got the highest overall SAT scores, with a perfect 800 for math, and, as far as I know, the highest ACT scores, with similar results in math and science. I graduated first in class and earned a full ride scholarship to study Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. However, due to many factors, primarily financial and personal reasons, I left UCLA after the Winter Quarter of 2015. I have now successfully transferred to CSUB, since the Winter Quarter of 2016 and am pursuing a degree in Engineering, with an emphasis in Petroleum.

Due to my many sessions with helping children ranging from early middle school to high school seniors, I have had much experience in helping students learn the material needed. Having five younger sisters that constantly need help with their homework hasn't hurt neither. I am willing to go to any location requested that's reasonable, or we can go to a public location such as a library. I look forward to meeting you!

As far as I know, I got one of the highest scores in this section when I took it. I received a score of 34 in this part. I also have the tests I took from these years as practice.
Algebra 1

I took this course when I was in middle school and got straight A's in it. I was also the one helping out the rest of the students when they didn't understand it. Now that one of my sisters is in this grade I am the one helping her out with the material.
Algebra 2

I got an A in both semesters when I took it in high school. This material came easily to me and should be easy for me to teach. I have also tutored in this subject in previous years.
ASVAB

ASVAB

I took the ASVAB during my senior year and got one of the highest scores of my class with an overall score of 94. This is one of the reasons why I was able to get a good job once I joined the Marine Corps. My experience taking the exam would be valuable in helping those in need.
Calculus

Calculus

I received a 4 in the AP Calculus BC exam when I took it. This translates to a 5 in the Calculus AB exam. I also still have the study packets that I used to prepare for this exam.
Chemistry

I got an A in both semesters when I took it in high school. A lot of what was taught in chemistry was math-oriented so it came really easy for me. I could be a great assistance to those would need my help.

I was always the one to help others even in my elementary days. Now that my sisters are going through this time phase, I help them with whatever they need. This has given me the knowledge and experience as to how to teach this subject.

I got an A in both semesters when I took it in high school. Not many liked it because it was a lot of proofs and writing. However I liked it and will be great in helping those in need.

When I took this class in 7th grade, I was the one to help those who needed it. All that I learned here built on in later years in the calculus and higher level classes that I took. Therefore, I have an extensive knowledge on the material taught in this course.

I got an A in both semesters when I took it in high school. I also have study material that translates to what was taught in this course. This will help me teach the material easier.

I was one of the few people in my area to get a perfect score of 800 in this section. I still have the study material that I used to prepare for the exam. I will use these packets to help teach the material better.

Excellent, Engaged, Resourceful Tutor

Carlos reach my son in his first session, he got his attention at a deeper level of understanding Calculus. He has open the windows of resources in aiding him in his lesson. Most of all Carlos stimulates my son to learn. Carlos set the atmosphere to relax and enjoy learning. His price is well worth more, but it allows parents like me to get tutoring for their child on a budget. He is very, very knowledgeable about the subject he's teaching and the dynamics of it. I'm very impress with Carlos of tutoring my son who has a auditory processing disorder. You have to have a certain skills for that, and Carlos has them (patience, thorough, calm, different teaching methods , and love what he does) Carlos is outstanding in my book A+ tutor.
