Hola/Hello,

My name is Elmer Guzman. Early in life, I found my vocation: Teaching! Discovering my passion for teaching and sharing my skills with others when I was 15 years old. I am a local private tutor with more than 20 years of experience effectively teaching Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, English to nonnative speakers of the language, and Spanish to all levels.

I know that flexibility is essential. That I why, you can select the lesson format. It can be in person at your preferred place, online, in Spanish, or English. During the last 15 years, I have implemented evidence-based teaching strategies to show learners how to solve complex Mathematical processes through systematically teaching basic steps and assembling them while supporting my students to develop confidence in the new skills learned. I enjoy helping my clients gain confidence by understanding and performing abilities that were not available to them with fluency and meeting their goals in a positive, nonjudgmental environment.

I found great satisfaction in helping my students achieve independence by teaching them studies strategies and self-correction using all my experience using teaching methods such as incidental learning, errorless teaching, differential reinforcement of correct responses, naturalistic teaching strategies, and other procedures.

My experience and credentials will show from the first session. During this first session, an assessment to establish a baseline for your kid's skill assessment will be performed to elaborate on the teaching program to follow to teach the needed skill and sequence to give the learner the skills they miss. All my teaching plans and procedures are individualized to the client's preference. They needed to promote a positive environment that would reinforce students' confidence and develop new academic and studying skills.
