I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Master’s degree in Learning and Technology. My academic background allows me to support students in reading, writing, and foundational academic skills while also using effective instructional strategies and technology to enhance learning.

I have 10 years of teaching experience across multiple grade levels, including 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I currently tutor students at my school and have experience working with students in small groups and one-on-one settings. This has allowed me to tailor instruction to individual student needs, target specific skill gaps, and provide focused academic support.

I believe in creating a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel safe to take risks and build confidence. My tutoring approach emphasizes scaffolded instruction, breaking skills into manageable steps so students can experience success and steadily build independence. I use clear modeling, guided practice, and ongoing feedback to help students understand not just what to do, but why they are doing it.

I am experienced in supporting students with varying learning needs, including students who need extra reinforcement, organization support, or confidence-building. I prioritize relationship-building and consistent routines so students feel motivated and engaged in their learning.

I have worked primarily with elementary and middle school students, both in traditional classroom settings and in individualized tutoring environments. My experience includes whole-class instruction, small-group intervention, and personalized one-on-one tutoring. This range allows me to adapt my teaching style to meet students where they are academically and emotionally.
