I am an educational therapist and educational consultant, specializing in learning interventions and college consulting for all students, especially students with disabilities. I earned my B.S. in Human Developmental Sciences and my Master’s in Education (MEd) from the University of California, San Diego. After completing my MEd, I completed post-grad coursework in Educational Therapy through the University of California, Santa Cruz.

I have mentored and taught over 200 students in elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. As a higher education consultant, specializing in writing instruction, I particularly enjoy supporting clients as they write personal statements for university applications. I am passionate about supporting students with challenging projects, such as collegiate writing, balancing AP coursework, or submitting medical school applications. I specialize in academic, argumentative, and personal statement writing, but I am trained to teach reading and writing at any skill level.

My work as a learning interventionist emphasizes executive functioning skills and metacognitive learning, as well as self-advocacy. I empower students to build awareness of their own thought processes and behaviors, encouraging self-motivated growth alongside self-acceptance. I develop individualized learning interventions for neurodivergent students and students with disabilities, including students w/ ADHD, autism, processing disorders, anxiety, OCD, hearing impairments, and health challenges.

A bubbly tutor who'll leave you feeling CONFIDENT and RELIEVED! PICK GRACE!

First off, I have a huge weight off my shoulders and I have so much relief all thanks to Grace. (And I'm pretty sure most of you who are reading this are seeking a tutor because you have that big weight, stress, and worry on your shoulders.) Grace helped me revise and write two college application personal statements. She is patient, intelligent, and has a way with words. Pretty flexible with scheduling and even tutored me on zoom when she was sick!! She was so kind and asked several questions to help me form my thoughts to words that translated so professionally on paper. I would have never thought of some of the ideas she had. She has helped improved both my personal statements times a billion. I was very comfortable with her and was able to talk to her like she was a close friend. A big thing for me, and what I was scared of when I was first searching for a tutor was finding someone I can connect with. I believe being able to have a connection with someone, makes whatever you're doing that much better. I definitely connected with Grace, which is why I think she was able to understand the things i wanted to say and potray in my essay and why my essays are as strong as they are. I've never written a review before, but I seriously wanted to do one for Grace. Grace has helped given me confidence in my essays and into getting into my schools. For people reading this, do not hesitate or contemplate whether Grace is the right tutor for you, because she definitely IS! I will be recommending her to my peers and to fellow students on here. Pick Grace to have that weight off your shoulders and you'll end up feeling and having confidence and relief. THANK YOU GRACE! SO THANKFUL!

Warm and Encouraging

I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding support and guidance I received from Grace during my college application process. Her expertise and dedication were instrumental in helping me craft compelling and authentic college essays that truly reflected my experiences and aspirations. From our very first meeting, Grace made me feel at ease with her warm and encouraging demeanor. She took the time to understand my story, strengths, and goals and provided invaluable feedback that helped me refine my essays to perfection. Her insightful suggestions and meticulous attention to detail made my essays stand out in a competitive applicant pool. Thanks to Grace's continuing support and expertise, I was accepted into many of my top-choice schools and am now committed to USC. Her commitment to my success went beyond just essay editing; she was a constant source of motivation and reassurance throughout the entire process. I cannot thank her enough for her guidance and encouragement. I highly recommend Grace to any student seeking personalized and effective college counseling. Her dedication and professionalism make her an exceptional counselor who cares about the kids she's helping.

Smart, organized, and friendly!

Grace has been SO helpful to my daughter! She helped her organize, outline, draft, and finalize a paper for her college media studies class. My daughter found Grace to be very smart and very engaging, and her suggestions and guidance on both the writing process and the content of the paper to be excellent. She actually enjoyed the tutoring sessions! My daughter was very pleased with her paper, and writing it was far less stressful for her than it would have been without Grace's support. And I really appreciate how quickly Grace responds to messages. We recommend Grace wholeheartedly!
