I am currently a Linguistics major at UCSD who is also minoring in Biology. I have 4 years of experience in tutoring middle school and high school students. I am extremely patient and empathic. No matter what the student's learning style is, I will adjust my teaching methods to cater theirs and ensure their success. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is the moment that a student understands a concept they previously struggled with and has their own little moment of "eureka." As someone who knows what it feels like to struggle in school, I love helping students overcome that struggle. Additionally, I understand how to deal with a variety of teachers' grading methods. Not only would I strive for students to truly understand a subject, I would help them focus on exactly what their teacher is looking for in their assignments.

I scored a 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and BC tests. I also received a 790/800 on the math portion of my SAT. Besides scores, I overall just really love math. Algebra and calculus were the most common subject I tutored in, so I'm fairly comfortable with tutoring in math.

I am currently minoring in Biology and so far have excelled in every biology class I have taken in college and high school. I also tutored in biology very often in high school, so much so to the point that I practically memorized the textbook which carried over to my success in all my college biology classes. Biology is a huge passion of mine and I think that zeal has made me the perfect tutor for my past biology students. Hopefully the will do the same for my future students.
