After working in a public school setting for several years, I transitioned to full-time private tutoring, serving students in Arcadia, San Marino, and Pasadena. SAT math covers concepts which students have learned in Algebra One, Geometry, and Algebra Two before. The first step for students is to review the concepts categorized by different topics such as arithmetic/geometric concepts, word problem, function, exponent, and probability. I guide students through these topics and help students develop particular strategies and skills for taking SAT math. Then students will have to work on categorized and mixed questions for procedural enhancement.

Students often need to use graph to understand the concepts in Trigonometry. I don't encourage students to merely learn characteristics of Trig functions by rote. I help students relate Trig functions to the corresponding graphs and explain how each Trig functions make changes in graphs.
