Hello, I'm Natalie! I graduated with Latin honors from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology in 2023 and am currently pursuing my doctorate at USC. I truly love guiding others and am excited to provide my services!
I have experience teaching all ages and levels, in a variety of subjects. I have a year of tutoring experience teaching English literature, grammar, and literary devices one-on-one to middle schoolers, improving their sentence fluency and reading comprehension. I also spent a summer in Taiwan teaching English as a foreign language to elementary schoolers in a classroom setting, formulating the lessons plans myself. I am also happy to provide support for standardized tests: I received a score of 35 on the ACT and a score of 5 on both the AP English Language and AP English Literature exams.
Other teaching experiences I have include: four years as a public speaking and improvisation coach for elementary and middle schoolers, three years teaching dance to children with disabilities in both one-on-one and group settings, leading a one-on-one creative writing class for children with chronic illness, and creating mental health workshops for high schoolers. These less conventional experiences have taught me how to better modify my teaching approach to each person's unique abilities. As such, I use a flexible approach that is tailored to your needs; I believe we learn best when we work together!
