Hello! My name is Trista and I am a substitute teacher for grades 7-12 in Southern California. I have been covering many subjects for over a year now and I would do it forever if I could. I love experiencing new subjects and getting to work with students of various backgrounds. It always keeps me on my toes and I never know what I’m going to help a student with before the end of each day.

I love experiencing new subjects and getting to work with students of various backgrounds. I am currently going for my master’s in sociology and my program is focused on preparing me to instruct undergrad courses. I eventually plan on returning to school again for my credential and to teach high school level social sciences classes as well. I love helping people in any way that I can whether it be with organization, planning, studying tips, or explaining material in a way that makes more sense to them. I always try to keep things light and positive feeling.
I passed my CBEST on my first attempt after studying. This test was mandatory for my job and I use some of the content in my workplace every day.
I have my bachelor’s in social sciences in which I majored in history and minored in both sociology and organizational leadership. I also majored in history upon transferring to university and I am majoring in sociology in my master’s program that I am currently enrolled in, which often discusses history through the perspective of societal behavior.
