I completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at UC Davis, where I built a strong foundation in general, organic, and analytical chemistry. I am a graduate student for Biochemistry at CSU East Bay. My academic background has given me both the depth and clarity needed to explain chemistry concepts in a way that makes sense to high school students.
My teaching experience includes over 200 hours as a high school chemistry teaching assistant, where I supported students one-on-one and in small groups. I have also worked as a substitute teacher across all grade levels, giving me a strong understanding of how students learn at different stages. In addition to my academic experience, I spent three years working in the chemical industry and eventually became an organic chemistry supervisor. This real-world background allows me to connect classroom concepts to practical applications, which helps students understand why the material matters.
My tutoring approach is methodical, patient, and centered on identifying each student's strengths. I focus on breaking down complex topics into manageable steps and helping students build confidence through guided practice. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can make steady progress toward mastering chemistry.
