I've been writing music for video games since I was 13 years old, and I'm here to teach students young and old the things I wished I knew about music composition, production, and theory when I was first starting out. I accept students of any age or level.

I've written more than 1,000 compositions for games, videos, podcasts, and live performances, and have composed for clients from countries including but not limited to Egypt, India, New Zealand, Serbia, Chile, and Canada. My approach to music composition has always been influenced by a quest to expand my versatility to as many genres as possible. I programmed games at a young age, and after writing music for both my own games and games created by fellow programmers, I discovered that my true passion was writing music for media. I want to help my students develop that passion as well.

I have a Masters of Fine Arts in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College Chicago (CCC) and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Brigham Young University (BYU), graduating cum laude from BYU. I've assisted and taught orchestration classes at BYU, and I've worked as a music technology mentor as well as a teacher's assistant at CCC. I develop unique lesson plans for each student, basing the content and pace on each student's interests.

Keep in mind that I am very busy with my music career, and assist other composers on their projects as well, so depending on my schedule some lessons may be postponed at a days notice. However if you're ok with a sometimes turbulent schedule and are interested in what I have to offer, we can make anything work.

If you or anyone you know wants to learn music theory, techniques in composing and producing music for both electronic mediums and live performances, or the technical and creative aspects of making music work well in a game or film, I'm your guy. My lessons are exclusively online, and feel free to contact me with any questions. You can learn more about me at http://www.calebcuzner.com

Absolutely Amazing!

We are very lucky to find Caleb after searching on line for a while. My son who is enjoy making music, writing game code and drawing digital arts for games. Caleb's background and rich experiences are perfect matching with what we are looking for. Only a few classes, my son already can use FL studio to make wonderful music which is really impressive!!

So good. Knows it all and figured out what you both want and need.

Just getting started. But what a start! Good at conveying theory and application. Would recommend for folks looking to understand the complexity and use of compositional theory.

Great Teacher with a Passion

Caleb taught me a lot of concepts of music theory and worked through all of the questions I had. Not only did we learn advance music theory concepts but we also learned a lot about how theory can be used to make the musical concepts we enjoy in music we love.
