Hello! I'm Eunice, a California credentialed elementary teacher with over seven years of classroom experience and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I currently teach third grade and have taught grades 2 through 6 in both dual immersion and general education classrooms. Every day, I work with students who are struggling, on grade level, and advanced, so I know how to identify exactly where a child is getting stuck and how to help them move forward.
Many parents come to me because their child is falling behind in reading, lacks confidence in math, rushes through homework, struggles with multiplication facts, or simply needs more individualized attention than a busy classroom can provide. My specialty is breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps and helping students build strong foundational skills. I have extensive experience teaching phonics, reading fluency, reading comprehension, writing, multiplication and division, problem-solving, and study skills. I also provide enrichment for high-achieving students who need additional challenge.
What makes me different is that I am not just a tutor—I am a full-time classroom teacher who understands current curriculum, grade-level expectations, and what students need to be successful in school. I use assessment and observation to identify learning gaps, then create targeted lessons that help students make meaningful progress. Families often tell me their child becomes more confident, independent, and willing to take academic risks after working together.
My goal is not simply to help students finish their homework. I help them understand what they are learning, develop stronger academic habits, and gain the confidence to succeed on their own.
