Hi, I’m John and I’m a graduate from UCLA who studied biochemistry with an inorganic focus. Currently, I am tutoring students while applying to medical school. Having taken the MCAT, I received the 96th percentile score of 519 and have tutored multiple students who have seen great score increases with my tutoring. I also currently tutor organic chemistry, high school AP chemistry, AP/honors biology, biochemistry, AP Physics 1/2 , AP biology, and college level mathematics AP Calculus. I also help edit and give feedback for college applications, being admitted to UCLA and UC Berkeley with my essays.
In addition to tutoring, I work as an EMT in an ambulance, where I provide direct patient care in high-pressure, real-world situations. This experience has strengthened my ability to stay calm under stress, communicate clearly, and think critically when it matters most. Balancing both roles has allowed me to grow as both an educator and a healthcare provider. I teach students how to approach complex problems while also applying those same problem-solving skills in patient care.
