Rachel C.

My name is Rachel C. and I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in 2024 from Marshall B. Ketchum University (MBKU). I am currently pursuing my teaching credential at MBKU while simultaneously completing my residency in an acute care setting.

As a student tutor for all four years of pharmacy school, I have gained extensive experience in teaching and mentoring students in various subjects. The courses I have tutored include:

Biochemistry
Cardiology
Pulmonary & Diabetes
Infectious Disease
Psychiatry
NAPLEX preparation

I have been actively involved in tutoring through both group sessions and one-on-one interactions. My tutoring approach combines lecture-style sessions with interactive practice problems that I design to solidify understanding of key pharmacology concepts. I strive to make complex material more digestible by tailoring my methods to suit each student’s individual learning style. This allows me to design customized study plans that help students meet their specific short-term goals and prepare effectively for exams.

In terms of my teaching context, I have worked in both classroom settings and smaller, more personalized one-on-one sessions. I have also volunteered as a tutor, offering my time and expertise to support fellow students throughout my pharmacy program. My tutoring experience spans across various topics in the pharmacological sciences, and I am confident in my ability to deliver these subjects in a clear and engaging manner.
