My name is David S. I have been teaching at a high school for 25 years and have tutored for 26 years. I hold a degree in Physics from UCI and a Masters in Math Education from WGU. I also hold a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics and a Supplemental Authorization in Physics.

I love everything about teaching! I very much enjoy helping students to understand advanced concepts. All problem-solving relies on both technique and concept. I love helping students to grasp BOTH. I want students to be able to discern between the "whys" and the "hows." In this way, the student can start from a handful of ideas and use those to solve many problems. Since everyone has their own style, I also feel it is helpful to see different ways of doing the same problem.
