Hi, I'm Steven! I am an experienced tutor with over 3+ years of experience teaching various STEM subjects such as Math and Programming, with my current focus being Test Preparation. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, where I also tutored for half of my undergraduate years. I love helping students achieve their goals, and my passion for teaching comes from providing a resource to students as someone who was once in their shoes and would have liked to have that same resource available to me.

I scored a 1550 on the SAT (750 R/W, 800 Math), 800 on SAT Math II, and 750 on SAT Physics. I have also scored 5's on various AP exams such as AP Calculus BC and AP Computer Science A, and have merited the AP Scholar with Honor distinction.

My approach to tutoring, especially standardized math, is the philosophy that the same types of questions are asked over and over. Once a student is able to master a particular concept behind a certain type of question, they will be able to get it right 100% of the time. Through carefully tailored lesson plans, I work with each individual student to internalize the concepts behind difficult problems. Once this is achieved, students can not only solve any question that uses that concept, but also apply it to even more difficult questions with ease.

I have received great feedback and seen great results with all my students. One of my very first students (my sister!) was able to increase her SAT Math score by 70 points in the span of just 1 month!
