Hey, I'm Tony! I am an Applied AI Engineer based in the Bay Area. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. Working professionally with complex software systems gives me a highly practical understanding of the subjects I teach.

My tutoring and mentoring experience spans a wide range of ages and contexts, from high school to college students. In a one on one family setting, I regularly teach foundational math concepts to my little sister, who is currently a freshman in high school. At the university level, I have extensive experience as a mentor for the Association for Computing Machinery. Through this program, I guided college students with their coursework and gave them tips on how to prepare for difficult computer science quizzes. I also provided advice for technical interviews and helped them refine their resumes by teaching them how to fix formatting, use bullet points, and effectively highlight their projects.

My teaching method focuses on patience, practical application, and breaking down overwhelming problems into manageable steps. Whether I am helping a high schooler understand algebra or teaching a college student how to study for a rigorous computer science exam, my goal is to create a stress free environment. I want to help you build true confidence in your math and coding skills so you can succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Computer Programming

Computer Programming

I hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UC Riverside and work professionally as an Applied AI Engineer. In my daily work, I write, debug, and review thousands of lines of production code using Python, C++, TypeScript, and SQL. Alongside my professional work, I have extensive experience teaching coding fundamentals and advanced development practices to university students as a mentor for the Association for Computing Machinery. I use this real-world experience to help students move beyond basic textbook syntax so they can learn how to write clean, efficient, and professional-grade code.
Computer Science

Computer Science

I hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UC Riverside and currently work as an Applied AI Engineer architecting complex software systems. My daily professional work involves writing and reviewing advanced Python, C++, and database logic, giving me a deeply practical understanding of modern computer science. Additionally, I have extensive experience guiding university students through difficult coursework and technical interviews as a mentor for the Association for Computing Machinery. I leverage this real-world industry experience to help students break down complex algorithms and coding assignments into logical, easy-to-understand steps.
Data Structures

Data Structures

I hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UC Riverside and currently work as an Applied AI Engineer architecting complex software systems. My daily professional work requires a deep understanding of advanced data structures, ranging from vector embeddings and relational databases to memory access patterns in C++. Furthermore, as a university mentor for the Association for Computing Machinery, I successfully guided computer science students through rigorous coursework and technical interview preparation. I leverage this engineering experience to help students master arrays, trees, and graphs by breaking down complex concepts into logical, easy to understand steps.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

I work professionally as an Applied AI Engineer, where I build real world machine learning applications using tools like Gemini, Claude, and Codex. My daily work involves designing complex retrieval augmented generation pipelines, optimizing GPU kernels in CUDA C, and evaluating language model outputs for enterprise clients. As a university mentor for the Association for Computing Machinery, I successfully guided students through rigorous technical concepts and interview preparation. I use this hands on industry experience to demystify complex artificial intelligence topics and help students build their own AI powered applications step by step.
