I have been playing chess competitively since I was six years old. I learned chess at the Berkeley Chess School, where I was trained by grandmasters such as former U.S. Champion Sam Shankland and Varuzhan Akobian. I have served as a camp counselor at the Berkeley Chess School and on the leadership team of the George Washington University Chess Club. My peak USCF rating is 1796. I have also worked as an English tutor for the children of Afghan refugees for the organziation Keeping Our Promises Inc.
