Hi, I’m Aarron! I’ve spent over 13 years helping students tackle difficult subjects, build confidence, and finally understand concepts that once seemed impossible. Hi, I’m Aarron! I’ve spent over 13 years helping students tackle difficult subjects, build confidence, and finally understand concepts that once seemed impossible. I believe that anyone can succeed in math with the right explanation, a little patience, and someone who’s willing to teach in a way that works for them.

My teaching style is simple. I break complicated problems into smaller, manageable steps and explain not just how to solve them, but why the methods work. I’ve found that most students aren’t bad at math. They just haven’t had someone explain it in a way that clicks. That’s where I come in. I tutor everything from Algebra and Geometry to Calculus, along with ASVAB preparation. During our lessons, we’ll work through problems together, identify exactly where you’re getting stuck, and focus on building the skills you need to succeed. I encourage questions, and I’m always happy to explain something a different way until it makes sense.

I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and a 3.8 GPA. I’ve also worked as a university teaching assistant and currently work as an engineer. While my education and career have given me a strong technical background, teaching has always been one of the most rewarding things I do. My goal is for you to leave every lesson feeling more confident than when you started. Whether you’re trying to pass a class, improve your grades, or prepare for an important exam, I’d love to help you get there!

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I know ACT Math can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! I enjoy helping students break down tricky problems, build confidence, and find easier ways to approach questions. With years of math tutoring experience, I focus on making lessons relaxed, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s needs. We’ll work through practice problems, learn helpful test-taking strategies, and focus on improving both accuracy and speed so you can walk into test day feeling confident and prepared!
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have several years of experience helping students build a strong foundation in Algebra 1. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts such as solving equations, graphing functions, factoring, and working with inequalities into manageable steps. My teaching approach emphasizes understanding why mathematical methods work rather than simply memorizing formulas. I adapt each lesson to the student's learning style and pace, helping them develop the confidence and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in algebra and beyond.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I help students navigate the more advanced concepts of Algebra 2, including quadratic equations, polynomial and rational functions, logarithms, exponential functions, and complex numbers. My lessons focus on identifying areas of confusion, explaining concepts in a clear and approachable way, and reinforcing understanding through guided practice. Whether a student needs help with homework, preparing for an exam, or strengthening foundational skills, I tailor each session to their individual needs and goals.
ASVAB

ASVAB

As a Marine Corps veteran with nine years of military service and extensive tutoring experience, I understand the importance of preparing effectively for the ASVAB. I help students strengthen their skills in all sections of the ASVAB. My lessons emphasize practical test-taking strategies, identifying weak areas, improving problem-solving speed, and understanding the reasoning behind correct answers. Whether a student is preparing for their first attempt or working toward a higher score, I develop personalized lessons focused on their goals.
Calculus

Calculus

I have extensive experience working with calculus through both my academic background and years of mathematics tutoring. I help students understand challenging topics such as limits, derivatives, integrals, optimization, related rates, and applications of calculus. My teaching style emphasizes breaking complex problems into understandable steps while explaining the reasoning behind each method. I work with students at their individual pace, helping them strengthen foundational concepts, prepare for exams, and develop a deeper understanding of calculus.
Geometry

Geometry

I help students develop a clear understanding of geometry by connecting formulas and theorems to the reasoning behind them. Topics include angles, triangles, circles, polygons, coordinate geometry, transformations, and geometric proofs. I emphasize visual explanations and step-by-step problem-solving to make unfamiliar concepts easier to understand. Whether a student is struggling with proofs, preparing for an exam, or looking to improve their overall understanding, I tailor lessons to their individual needs.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

I have extensive hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, calculations, tracking tools, and organizing complex information. I help students and professionals learn essential skills such as formulas, functions, charts, conditional formatting, data sorting and filtering, and lookup functions. I tailor lessons to each person's experience level and practical goals, whether they are learning Excel for the first time or looking to become more efficient with advanced features. My approach emphasizes hands-on practice and real-world examples.
Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint

I have experience creating professional presentations for technical projects, meetings, and communicating complex information to different audiences. I help students and professionals develop clear, organized, and visually effective presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. Topics include slide layouts, formatting, charts, graphics, transitions, and presentation structure. My lessons focus on practical techniques that improve both the appearance and clarity of presentations, whether for school assignments, professional meetings, or personal projects.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Pre-Algebra is where students start building the foundation for so many important math skills, and I love helping them get comfortable with it! Whether we’re working on fractions, negative numbers, equations, or word problems, I focus on breaking things down into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. My goal is to make math feel less intimidating, build confidence, and help students realize they’re more capable than they think!
Precalculus

Precalculus

Precalculus brings together many important algebraic and trigonometric concepts, and I help students develop the understanding needed to succeed in calculus. I provide instruction in functions, graph transformations, trigonometric identities, exponential and logarithmic functions, and other foundational topics. My approach emphasizes understanding mathematical relationships rather than memorizing procedures. I work with students to identify knowledge gaps, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build confidence with increasingly complex material.
SAT Math

SAT Math

SAT Math doesn't have to be intimidating! I help students build confidence by breaking down challenging problems into simple, manageable steps. My lessons focus on strengthening essential math skills, recognizing common question patterns, and developing effective test-taking strategies. Whether you're struggling with algebra, geometry, or advanced math concepts, I'll work at your pace to help you understand the material, improve your accuracy, and feel prepared for test day.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Trigonometry can feel overwhelming at first, but I’m here to make it easier! I enjoy helping students work through challenging topics like sine, cosine, tangent, the unit circle, and trigonometric identities. My goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I focus on making things click rather than just memorizing formulas, so students can build confidence and actually enjoy learning math!

Patient and Very Helpful!

So pleased with my tutoring session with Aarron! He was very patient, knowledgable and super helpful. He walked me through problems step-by-step and made sure I understood, if I didn't, he tried explaining it differently till I did. I feel like I was given some really useful tips and strategies for solving problems on my own and I feel much better about tackling this subject. Overall great session and I will definitely be booking another!
