Hi, I’m Vinyas! As a graduate of a STEM-focused high school, I’ve taken advanced algebra, calculus, and physics courses for years. In my experience, these subjects are often filled with rote learning and obfuscated explanations, to the detriment of students. When I teach, I try to explain abstract concepts in an understandable and relatable manner, whether it’s showing the link between integrals and addition or torque and opening doors. This builds a deep, intuitive understanding of mathematical and physical phenomena — the kind that will never leave you blanking when you need it the most!
I’ve scored 5s on over a dozen AP exams, including Calculus AB & BC, Physics 1 & C, and Chemistry. I’ve also scored a 35 on the ACT Math section and a 780 on the SAT math section, and I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school — so you can rest assured I know my stuff.
Plus, I’ve taught students of various ages and levels — including middle and high school, and even college — for nearly 4 years. From fielding questions from friends in my calculus class to teaching full AP classes as a TA for my former physics teacher to providing private tutoring in precalculus and college physics, I have dozens of hours of experience helping students make sense of these challenging subjects.
