I teach because I believe in helping all people learn that which will help them reach their hopes and goals. I guide my students in developing a flexible plan for reaching their expectations; together we build the steps required to move in the direction of preparing for success.

I lead my students to recognize how the lessons being prepared fit a step or steps in the plan. I encourage their learning to recognize the usefulness of knowledge they already possess in adding new information and ideas. I maintain an open mind and imagination, without judging, as I mentor students to seek the knowledge they are pursuing.

From the beginning of my own education, I strove to learn excellent English speaking and writing skills. While in middle school, I was privileged to hear an educational speaker who presented that the way out of poverty and ignorance was education. I have been guided by that theory during my entire life; in preparing to teach, I used every opportunity to develop my qualifications.

I studied for and passed the Series 7 exam after I had gained experience as a professional in education and in personnel management. I became a Financial Advisor, during which time I presented classes at a large mid-western university, held seminars for the public, and counseled individuals. My extensive experience and continued refresher courses provided a strong base for continuing to present financial education to others.
