About Travis

Bio

I hold an MS in economics from Purdue University and a BS from the University of Arizona. I have taught high school economics and AP micro/macro since 2007. I also teach micro and macroeconomics at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. I am passionate about the economic way of thinking and your success. Similar to when I'm teaching, I want to find out student interest so I can tailor the examples to your interests. I also want to find out what students know and what they need to know...

I also teach micro and macroeconomics at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. I am passionate about the economic way of thinking and your success. Similar to when I'm teaching, I want to find out student interest so I can tailor the examples to your interests. I also want to find out what students know and what they need to know this will help you understand the content.

I have taught Title 1, high school students. AP students, who have earned above-average scores in my courses. I have also taught community college students since 2016 so I can work with a diverse group of students. I recommend students look for a tutor who has teaching experience and someone who can think of relevant examples for the student. I would also recommend someone who takes an interest in the student's success.

I have extensive business knowledge and relevant examples for students from my years working in the private sector before teaching. I also keep up with economics and financial news.
