I was born and raised in Paris, France and have been teaching for over a decade, working with students from elementary school through college in a range of settings such as classrooms, one-on-one tutoring and university outreach programs. I obtained a Master's degree in Anglophone Studies from La Sorbonne and completed some doctoral work in American Indian Studies at the University of Arizona, which deepened my interdisciplinary approach to teaching language, literature, and critical thinking.
I am also a certified Secondary English Teacher in Arizona.
My classroom experience spans middle and high school ELA, where I have taught reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis. I have also worked with first-generation college-bound students through Upward Bound TRIO, supporting them in academic writing and reading comprehension. As a private French tutor, I work with students at the elementary and secondary school levels, adapting my approach to each learner's pace and learning style. I am equally comfortable in structured lesson formats and more flexible, conversational sessions.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in meeting students where they are and building from there. I believe in making material relevant and approachable without sacrificing rigor. Whether a student needs to strengthen foundational skills or push toward advanced work, I focus on building confidence alongside competence.
