My name is Chris! I'm an undergraduate at the University of Arizona with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Games & Behavior. I benefitted from tutoring while taking college calculus courses, and I seek to provide that same level of care and assistance to others in the areas I specialize in. I'm a patient tutor and will always ensure a complete understanding of the material before moving on. I develop lesson plans based on the student's individual needs and schedule, and am always willing to adjust to fit changes.
I am new to tutoring, and bring with me an academic record that speaks to my capabilities. I graduated high school a year early with honors in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as 30 college credits which I earned at a local community college through dual enrollment. I was placed on the Dean's List twice at that school, and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honors society for my performance. I earned a 1530 on the SAT, with a 790 in Reading/Writing and a 740 in Math. This placed me in the top 1% of scorers nationwide. In college, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and been placed on the Dean's List with Distinction two semesters in a row. I have composed a number of original pieces throughout my studies, some of which have been retained by professors for example use in future curricula.
I specialize in English. This includes general English courses, writing composition, proofreading, literature, and other subcategories. While I am not SAT-exclusive, if test prep should fall within a student's needs it will be incorporated into tutoring.

Creative Writing

I am an ongoing student at the University of Arizona, majoring in Creative Writing. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in my studies thus far, and have been placed on the Dean's List with Distinction twice. My academic work has been, quite literally, exemplary, as it has been retained by professors to include in future curricula. I am interning as a Submission Reviewer for the Sonora Review, a literary journal run by U of A Creative Writing graduate students.
Fiction Writing

Fiction Writing

While attending university, I have taken several fiction courses. In my most recent course, I composed a short story, "Simulacra Vitae," which I workshopped and revised during class sessions. This story received full marks, and I earned an A in the course, as well as a recommendation from my professor to the Creative Writing undergraduate director for specialized courses the following semester.
