I'm Maya! I have over 10 years of tutoring experience and am a certified English and Social Studies teacher with a Master's in Education from Stanford University. I've taught in middle schools, high schools, and have tutored adults privately in ESL. Apart from writing, I love all English Language Arts topics and have written and implemented multiple year-long English curriculums with units that promote reading skills, poetry knowledge, grammatical awareness, literary understanding, research-based writing, debate expertise, and more. Additionally, I've co-taught both AP US History and AP World History and have written history units that cultivate critical thinking skills and historical analysis.

My experience as a middle-school ESL teacher and private ESL instructor equips me to aid learners of all language levels. As a Fulbright Fellow in Mexico, I led English conversation classes for high-school students and provided consult to language teachers.
