Hey! My name is Danielle, and I’m a freshman at the University of Arizona, majoring in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences with a minor in Spanish Language. I’ve been one-on-one tutoring high school and middle school for 3 years, within a wide variety of disciples. I’ve had the pleasures of guiding students to help them excel in their science, math, humanities, and testing needs including the SAT, CLEP, and ACT exams.
As for my teaching style, I try to make big concepts more digestible for students, utilizing graphics and models to uniquely relate to the student. Following updated research on learning, I will be making sure to distribute learning over time as well as constructing personalized low stakes quizzes to lock in information.
For sciences, my specialty topics include high school and AP chemistry, biology, and psychology. In math, I am proficient in AP statistics, pre-calculus, algebra 1 and 2, and geometry. I also enjoy guiding students through essay writing, including college entrance essays, and helping them master different essay formats.
I’m very excited to meet you and I look forward to advancing your learning in a way that makes sense for you!
