I have tutored since high school and would help my fellow students with their coursework. Since then, I have tutored at all levels and subjects of elementary (K-8) and high school (9-12) education. I have also tutored all undergraduate mathematics courses, introductory courses in computer science & engineering, first-year undergraduate science courses, all levels of communication, writing, and public speaking, and first-year humanities and social science courses. I have been certified as a Master Level College Reading and Language Association (CRLA) tutor and received the 2015 Peer Educator of the Year award from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I have been tutoring professionally for over a decade.

I graduated summa cum laude with honors with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Communication Art from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in 2015. While at UAH, I was trained as a tutor and graduate teaching assistant, gaining mathematical expertise across all undergraduate mathematics courses taught at UAH. I often use tutoring and teaching principles such as growth mindset, scaffolding, learning styles, personality types, communication strategies, teach-try-test, and many other methods within my sessions. I tailor my sessions to the students individually and start from a student-centered teaching philosophy. I will meet my students where they are, without judgment, so that they can meet and exceed their academic goals and expectations.

I can also provide tutoring services that are sensitive to the needs of neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ students. I do not tolerate bigotry or hatred within sessions.
