My name is Amber, & I’m an Academic Development Specialist at Academic Essentials with over a decade of experience in teaching and tutoring students of all ages. My purpose is to help students overcome academic challenges—whether it’s assignments, memory-building, study skills, or mastering difficult subjects—with confidence and clarity.
I’ve joyfully earned my degree in 2015 in Paralegal Studies from the Center for Advanced Legal Studies (CALS), & I’m currently pursuing my next degree in Information Technology at Western Governors University (WGU), with graduation on the horizon at the end of 2025. My educational path helps me stay innovative, resourceful, & always evolving for the benefit of every student I work with.
Over the years, I’ve supported K-12 students across Arizona, both in person & online. I also bring a deep level of care, patience, & commitment when working with students who face unique learning challenges—including those with ADD/ADHD, Autism, Speech Delays, & more. I do not scare easily, & I consider it a true privilege to guide every student with compassion & consistency.
I also understand that not every student has equal access to technology or may be using unfamiliar devices. That’s why I offer full flexibility across different platforms & assist students who are new to tech, not tech-savvy, or just need help navigating their devices.
At our first session, we’ll map out your learning outline, & goal list to personalize your journey. We’ll do a quick check-in every session to keep up with your current assignments, school updates, or personal changes—& every 30 days, we’ll reflect on your big milestones, review your progress, & celebrate your growth.

Hello. I have joyfully been volunteering with different non-profit organizations for over 10+ years in Christ believing settings. I have hands on experience with children, youth, young adults, and older adults in Christ believing studies, books, classes, sermons, and events. I have spent a healthy amount of time in the classroom, on the pulpit, at events, teaching, growing, and inspiring learners to a closer relationship with God, with Christ, and with the history of the ages through sermons/lessons. I am an encourager, teacher, helper, and assistant with common well known events such as VBS and AWANA's. I have bought personal bible study books for personal development and then later shared them with a bible study group for further helping others develop. If you need a list of the different non-profit organizations I have put my time, energy, and skills into, please request for the list. I have the names, cities, and who the Pastors were at that season. I have also successfully completed religion classes/courses at Houston Baptist University between the years of 2006-2008. Thank you.

Hi. I learned to play chess for fun as a child with my family. As I got older, I met a super amazing Teacher who taught classes and was the Chess Coach too. This is when I learned about playing the game I enjoyed at a challenging competition. I traveled with friends and classmates, going to really cool tournaments and learning what it means to WIN! I can teach Chess on many different levels and for different skilled players. I still play Chess and I still study Chess tactics, books, games, and more. For example, if you don't know that Magnus Carlson has been the World Chess Champion several times and declined to defend his title ... then please look up the world about Chess. Ding Liren is the current champion for 2023. Chess is timed at most tournaments. Chess players should know that there is a difference between playing blitz and playing classical chess. I have the knowledge and skills to help many students who are wanting to learn the game of chess and go into tournaments professionally for scholarship wins, money wins, or traveling adventures. Hello. I have worked at different fast food, cafe places that required cooking skills, baking skills, and drink skills. I do have a good handlers card for any type of work I might complete regarding food. I have successfully baked and cooked for family, friends, church fellowships, work events, and even sold some baked goods for money at different times of the year. I definitely got a lot of good feedback such as the cake was moist and etc. I've been cooking and baking for over 10+ years. I took a professional baking class at Hobby Lobby. I can teach any beginner how to be successful when it comes to working with food. Currently, I am focused on health + nutrition. I will guide the person to Organic/Non-GMO foods for the best meals to make. Thank you.

Hi. I have over 10+ years of speaking to/at different public places, events, outings, and gatherings for many different reasons. The most Public presentations I completed successfully was for school business classes. I had more of these presentations due compared to actual office work presentations. I have conducted presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint and without Microsoft PowerPoint. I can certainly guide any new beginner to the best things to have, to do, and to bring to any presentation they plan on conducting. Thank you.

Absolute Blessing!

My daughter struggles with math & her lack of confidence makes her hesitant to ask for help. However, with Amber, her positive and patient approach has made my daughter actually WANT to get help and now math is not such a dreaded subject anymore. Amber is reliable with her in-person tutoring sessions at our home; she is thorough with her notes and follow up after the tutoring sessions; and is truly a blessing in helping raise my daughter’s confidence. Already booking her in advance to keep up this momentum!
