Hi! My name is Naomi, and I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Sociology. I enjoy helping students build confidence by making challenging subjects easier to understand. During college, I served as a teaching assistant for a Sociology of Race course, where I answered students' questions, clarified course concepts, facilitated discussions, and helped students strengthen their analytical thinking and writing.

Outside the classroom, I continued teaching in a variety of ways. I regularly helped classmates prepare for biology and biochemistry exams by reviewing lecture material, explaining difficult concepts step by step, and creating study plans tailored to their learning styles. I also worked one-on-one with a journalism major throughout college, helping improve essay organization, thesis development, grammar, and revision skills. In addition, I volunteered as an English tutor through ENGin, where I met weekly with Ukrainian adults to improve their conversational English by adapting lessons to each student's goals and confidence level.

As someone with diagnosed ADHD, I understand that every student learns differently. While earning my degree, I developed effective strategies for organization, time management, active studying, and breaking large assignments into manageable pieces. I enjoy helping students discover the study methods that work best for them. Although I am not a therapist or ADHD coach, I provide patient, individualized academic support in a positive and encouraging environment.

Whether you need help with biology, biochemistry, sociology, essay writing, or study skills, my goal is to help you truly understand the material rather than simply memorize it. I tailor every lesson to each student's needs and want every student to leave our sessions feeling more confident, capable, and prepared for future success.

I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Sociology. My sociology coursework required extensive analytical, argumentative, and research-based writing, giving me substantial experience with thesis development, essay organization, evidence-based writing, critical analysis, and APA formatting. I also served as a Sociology Teaching Assistant, where I helped students strengthen their writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills. Beyond the classroom, I volunteered as an English tutor through ENGin, working one-on-one with Ukrainian students to improve their English reading, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills. This experience taught me how to adapt lessons to each student's learning style while creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I also have experience teaching a young violin student, which strengthened my ability to explain new concepts with patience, keep younger learners engaged, and build confidence over time.
