Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m an English tutor with a Bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in English, along with hands-on classroom experience supporting students across a wide range of learning styles and abilities. I specialize in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary and will work with students to build both skills and confidence in a supportive and interactive environment.

I have one year of experience as a substitute teacher in the Denver charter school network, where I provided both last minute and long-term coverage for K-12. Here, I adapted lesson plans to meet comprehension needs, supported students on the individualized level, and maintained structured classrooms. As a paraprofessional in early childhood and special education, I provided 1:1 support and equitable accommodations– an experience that strongly informs my approach to tutoring.

Strong reading and writing skills are essential for academic success and healthy self-expression. I help students improve reading retention, develop an organized working approach to writing, strengthen grammar and daily speech habits, and most importantly, gain the confidence they need to be effective communicators. My teaching style is patient and solution-oriented. I always aim to create a calm and supportive learning environment as we work together to accomplish academic and personal goals.
