Hello students! After many years of being tutored by amazing, passionate mentors, and many years of my own journey as a tutor, I realize that anyone can learn anything. Whether it be a student with immense determination or a mentor with the right guidance, topics can be learned and knowledge gained. If you're struggling to pick up a specific problem, or are trying to push yourself ahead of where you are, we can do it together!

I went to public magnet high school, focusing on math, science, and technology. Freshman year I struggled to pick up chemistry as this was during the COVID-19 pandemic and the e-courses provided were subpar. My parents signed me up with a Wyzant tutor and with his guidance I was able to not only master the subject, but go deeper into the field as I pursue Aerospace Engineering.

My journey as a tutor began in 8th grade. I completed all of the math classes offered (ending with Algebra II) and was volunteered to tutor 6th graders during the math period. I found ways to teach math to multiple students in ways that fit their specific learning style, speed, and strengths. When hardships occurred I stuck with the students as we found ways to either go around using a different method, or break down the original method into simpler steps.

In high school I got a job at Mathnasium, tutoring all ages of kids in mathematics ranging from primary to Calculus II. I also was permitted to teach all subjects of the ACT while working there. As a student who had to take the test 3 times before getting a perfect score, I understand how hard it can be to self-study and rely on online guides. In my senior year I was selected to peer tutor my previous year AP Biology teacher's class. In September I was voted Student of the Month for the aid I had given both the teachers and students in the class.

Now as a college freshman, I offer my help to elementary, middle, and high school students online.

I taught students K-12 across all levels of math ranging from primary mathematics through calculus II. Some days were spent developing personalized lesson plans tailored to individual needs and learning styles. I was also certified to teach ACT Math, assisting students with test-taking strategies to improve scores, and collaborated with fellow instructors to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment. My time at Mathnasium helped me become perceptive to what strategies do and do not work, and understanding what methods I can take to help a student overcome challenges.
MATLAB

MATLAB

With the National Science Foundation Coupling, Energetics, and Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions (CEDAR) Program, I completed a semester-long research study on understanding the short-term variability of the migrating diurnal tide in the atmosphere for better weather prediction and defense capabilities. Running previous sky surveys, observational data, and satellite data through MATLAB unveiled how big a role atmospheric waves play in helping decipher future weather patterns. The research showed that using atmospheric waves to predict weather was nearly 98% accurate. Thus, it is well-suited for developing new and advanced applications in national defense, particularly in response to impending weather catastrophes.

Awesome and down to earth

I took a chance with Navin to tutor my 6th grader. He's in a pretty challenging double accelerated math class and also deals with ADHD. Navin was able to keep him engaged throughout his lesson and complete a very important assignment. My son absolutely loved him (Navin reminds him of his older brother who has gone off to the Navy) and will continue seeing him on a weekly basis for his math lessons. Thank you Navin!

Navin was awesome and super patient with me. I needed help with percentages, something I haven’t done in ages and he was able to show me a formula I can apply to problems to help me identify what my next move is. He also did some research on his own and provided real questions that simulate what I will be tested on. 10000% this guy for anyone struggling with anything really. Thanks for your help Navin.
