I am a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Chemical Engineering, with a strong academic background in mathematics, chemistry, and the sciences. I have completed the full calculus sequence (Calculus I–III) and all general chemistry courses up through organic chemistry. Alongside my coursework, I’ve participated in research internships at both Cal State LA (bioengineering focus) and UC San Diego (biochemistry), which gave me hands-on experience applying classroom knowledge in professional lab settings.
I also bring extensive tutoring experience from my time at Palomar College, where I worked closely with students in general chemistry and all levels of calculus. In addition to college-level subjects, I enjoy working with high school students in math and science including algebra, precalculus, biology, and chemistry. My approach centers on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, then showing students how these pieces fit together into the bigger picture. I believe practice is key, so I provide plenty of worked examples and encourage students to attempt problems themselves first so I can identify where they’re struggling. This allows me to target weaknesses directly and help build their confidence and skills.
As a community college transfer student now thriving at UC Berkeley, I also have extensive knowledge about navigating the path from community college to a university. I know firsthand what it takes to succeed at both levels, and I’m happy to mentor students not only in their coursework but also in planning their academic journey. I am hardworking, patient, and dedicated to helping each student succeed. Whether you’re preparing for a big exam, building a foundation in high school science, or tackling advanced university material, I will meet you at your current level and help you progress step by step.
