I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and have obtained certifications in Cybersecurity, IT support, and bookkeeping. My academic background has equipped me with a strong foundation in science, quality assurance, student mentoring, tutoring, troubleshooting, security, and bookkeeping. I hope to leverage it to support my students in mastering challenging concepts, in science, technology, bookkeeping or everyday living situations. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a passion for teaching, which led me to pursue tutoring as a way to help students achieve their academic goals.

I have been tutoring for four years, working with students ranging from college to adult tiers. My tutoring experience spans one-on-one sessions and group settings, both in-person and online, where I have utilized a student-centered approach. I focus on identifying individual learning styles, tailoring my teaching methods to suit each student’s needs. Whether through interactive problem-solving, guided practice, or incorporating visual aids and real-world examples. My goal is always to make learning engaging and accessible, ensuring students build confidence in their abilities.

My teaching experience also includes being a teacher assistant for Organic Chemistry, Nursing, Inorganic, and general chemistry labs. I also was a TA for Cybersecurity EdX boot camps with the University of California, Irvine. I worked with diverse student populations, including those with learning differences. I believe in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow academically. Over the years, I have refined my approach to teaching by actively listening to my students, adapting to their feedback, and continuously seeking new strategies to enhance their learning experience.

My Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry laid a strong foundation for my scientific journey, igniting a passion for understanding the intricate mechanisms that govern life at the molecular level. This foundation, however, was not simply built on textbooks and lectures; it was fueled by a deep fascination with the elegance of organic chemistry and the power of spectroscopy. Organic chemistry, with its intricate dance of functional groups and reaction mechanisms, became more than just a subject for me; it transformed into a language that allowed me to decipher the complex cacophony of life. I was particularly captivated by the ability of spectroscopy to unveil the hidden secrets of molecules, using techniques like NMR, IR, and UV to unravel their structure and dynamics. This fascination led to being a coauthor in a Langmuir publication as an undergraduate student. These experiences solidified my understanding of the fundamental principles and provided me with hands-on experience in applying them to real-world problems.

Maths:: As a holder of a Biochemistry degree, I possess a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and principles that are essential for understanding and analyzing complex biological systems. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to develop and apply mathematical skills in various biochemistry courses, including: Calculus: I utilized differential equations to visualize enzyme kinetics, protein-ligand binding, and metabolic pathways, allowing me to understand and predict the behavior of biological systems. Statistics: I applied biostatistical analysis to experimental data, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and data visualization, to interpret and draw conclusions from epidemic situations. Algebra: I employed algebraic techniques to solve problems in bio/chemistry, such as calculating pH and pKa values, determining enzyme activity, and analyzing the structure and function of bio/molecules. Mathematical modeling: I used mathematical models
