BASIS Teacher Providing AP Chemistry & AP Psychology Tutoring

Hi! I'm Mrs. Holtzman. I have bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Psychology as well as a master's degree in Secondary Education. I have taught all levels of middle school and high school Chemistry and have been teaching AP Chemistry and AP Psychology for 13 of the 14 years that I have taught for BASIS Charter Schools. As a side job, I have also tutored many students online and in-person in Chemistry. Having taught for so long, I have a variety of resources to work with, including lessons, assignments, assessments, and practice AP exams, to provide structured and individualized tutoring to prepare students for the AP exams for both Chemistry and Psychology or for college-level Chemistry and Psychology courses. The students I have tutored so far have all earned 4's or 5's on the AP Chemistry exam. As for students in my classes, in 2024, 96% of my students passed the AP Psychology exam, and 95% passed the AP Chemistry exam compared to the global pass rates of 61% and 75%, respectively. Also, that same year, students achieved averages of 4.00 and 4.49 on the AP Chemistry and AP Psychology exams compared to global averages of 3.31 and 2.97, respectively.
