Good day! My name is Allen Gilua, and I am a passionate and dedicated elementary school teacher currently teaching 5th grade at Indian Oasis Elementary Intermediate School in Arizona, USA.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have completed the academic requirements for a Master’s degree in Educational Management. My academic background has equipped me with a strong foundation in pedagogy, curriculum development, and effective instructional strategies. In recognition of my commitment to excellence, I have received both Gold and Silver awards for outstanding performance in my district.
I bring 12 years of teaching experience—7 years in the Philippines and 5 years in the United States. Throughout my career, I have taught diverse learners and adapted my instruction to meet varying academic needs and learning styles. My experience includes designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, implementing differentiated instruction, and using formative and summative assessments to guide student progress. I also integrate online educational tools and collaborative learning strategies to create interactive and meaningful learning experiences.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience supporting students through individualized instruction and small-group tutoring, helping them strengthen their skills in key subject areas such as Math and English Language Arts. My classroom management approach is rooted in empathy, organization, and consistency, which helps foster a positive and structured learning environment.
Beyond academics, I coach basketball and track and field, where I promote teamwork, discipline, and resilience—skills that also support students’ success in the classroom.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple—to inspire students to believe in themselves, take ownership of their learning, and leave my classroom more confident than when they walked in.
Thank you.
