I am an innovative teacher equipped with the positive attitude and patience necessary to teach all students. I am versatile and dedicated to focusing on the individual needs of students through the design and implementation of new and effective ways to explain learning materials. My strengths are my resilience and familiarity with the challenges associated with teaching students who require extra support to acquire and master skills. I believe in guiding students through the learning process by providing them with a carefully designed path. Students make the connections and when an obstacle presents itself, I am there to help the student work through the problem to create their own learning.

I have 15 years of experience working with students from pre-K through 12 grade in both the regular and special education setting, as well as in after school programs and private tutoring sessions. My goal is to help students gain mastery of reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and mathematical skills. In addition, I tutor students in SAT and ACT reading and writing, STAAR, CoGAT, study skills, and content mastery. I hold B.S. in Deaf Education with a dual General Education certification from Texas Christian University and a Master of Education from Southern Methodist University. I hold Texas Education Association certifications in General Education, Special Education, English as a Second Language, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Sign Communication.

I love teaching, and I would love the opportunity to help your student grow his or her skills and confidence to reach their full potential!
